Mike Cmejla

My name is Mike Cmejla and I am your mental health provider. I am a clinical mental health counselor with a master’s degree from Adams State University, and I spent a big chunk of my training right here at Vista — so when they offered me the job, it was an easy yes.

I got into this work the long way around. I spent years in the restaurant industry, art, and building, and did a bit of living before I decided it was time to turn toward service.

My focus is on trauma, building real connections, and helping students figure out who they are and who they want to be. I am not here to tell you what to do. I am here to help you think it through. My door is open, and I mean that literally and otherwise.

Outside of work, I’m making art and riding on two wheels (hopefully downhill).
