Luke Siebert, Executive Director

Hello, my name is Luke Siebert, I’m the Executive Director at Vista Charter School, welcome to our website! I’m very excited to be a part of such a wonderful educational environment. Throughout my career, I have provided leadership, direction, and support for Career and Technical Education programs, both at a statewide and regional level.
During my eleven years of classroom teaching experience, I had the privilege of teaching CTE- related courses at the secondary level in 7-12 grades. My expertise in developing CTE programming, a curiosity in implementing Competency Based Education, and a love of student learning led me to accolades, including the Herb Kohl Educational Fellowship and Wisconsin’s State High School Teacher of the Year.
Personal mentors during my teaching years strongly encouraged me to seek educational leadership positions. After teaching welding and fabrication technology in a post-secondary environment, I found my calling as CTE Director for the Delta Schoolcraft Intermediate School District. I worked with DSISD for seven years prior to starting my own company, CTE Consultants LLC, where I have been consulting with DSISD as CTE Director of Region 02 and CEPD 05. As a result of my work, I became a state-recognized Director of Career and Technology Education.
During my time as CTE Director for the DSISD, we increased student enrollment by 100% at the career center through partnerships with Michigan Works, NMU, Bay College, LEA’s, and local businesses. Working with the department of the Office of Career and Technical Education, we were able to establish several Early Middle College programs. I also recently contracted with MDE at the state level as a consultant for Early Middle Colleges, providing research-based reports on EMC funding mechanisms throughout the country.
In addition to my professional experience, I received my Master of Education degree with a focus on Administration and Supervision, I hold a license in Administration and Supervision of Secondary Education at MDE, and I also carry a lifetime teaching certificate in Technology Education.
I’m continually impressed with the vision and professional expertise of our folks here at Vista Charter School. I think you’ll find that our ideas in working with our students create a wonderful atmosphere that promotes respect and integrity among our students. Vista is full of opportunities and I encourage anyone interested in sending their student here to come visit to see what we’re all about!

Robi Wells, Principal & Special Education Case Manager
I’m Robi Wells, I have been in education in many facets for 26 years. This is my 1st year at Vista as Principal and Special Education Case Manager. I moved over here just over a year ago for the Front Range where I taught for 18 years. When not working, I enjoy spending time outside, gardening, fishing and spending time with my husband and dogs. I look forward to a wonderful year!

Rachel DeMunbrun, Executive Secretary

I have been in education for 7 years. I was the Head Secretary at Pomona Elementary School for 5 of those years. Pomona helped me find a love and passion for educating.
My role at VCS is very similar but also very different. I have worked with teens in many capacities but have not worked with them in education, until now. I am excited to be part of their continued learning and growth. I am a strong advocate for mental health awareness. I have an in-depth perspective and much experience in navigating mental health and wellness. I feel this experience will help students, staff, and families along the way.
My family and I moved here from Utah and have been in Montrose for 14 years. We love the area and cannot get enough of camping, fishing, swimming, kayaking etc. We are grateful to be living in such a great community!

I have been at Vista Charter School for 14 years. I am a true Montrose Native and have a passion for seeing youth succeed in our community. I love working with our young adults and being able to help them accomplish the goal of graduation. Everyday is a new learning experience, not only for the students but also for me. All the students at Vista become part of my extended family. In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors and spending family time with my now adult Kids and grandsons.

Someone told me it was a good workplace for me, and that’s what brought me to Vista. I am passionate about walking our mountains. I like working at Vista because they let me work at my own pace and all the teachers treat me with respect and equality.

I teach Social Studies, English and Project Based Learning & Portfolios. I have been teaching in alternative settings for 25 plus years and I wanted to bring my experience to Vista and build a stronger learning environment for Vista students.
I love reading, research, hockey, camping and hiking when I’m not at school.
My favorite thing about teaching at Vista is helping my students find success.

I believe in Alternative Education, and Vista fits my teaching style perfectly. As a former Professional Mountain Bike Racer and Freestyle Mogul Skiing Competitor, I like to spend my time recreating outdoors with family and friends in pursuit of inner peace.
I love teaching at Vista, because they value my passion for weaving my interests throughout meaningful curriculum. I connect well with students, and that can spark interest for them to reach their potential and realize their own goals and future.

I came to Vista because it was a great new opportunity to work better hours than my prior job. I also enjoy working around teenagers.
I love hiking and camping.
I enjoy all of my coworkers and, of course, the students. I like that everyday is different and we just never know what’s next.
